How we work
What are terms and conditions for?
Terms and conditions ensure customers know how we work and what we do. All customers must read through our terms and conditions sheet and sign it before we take on any orders. Our terms and conditions are also clearly explained verbally to you on your appointment. Terms and conditions protects not only the customer but also our business and by you agreeing to sign our terms and conditions sheet means its a legal contract between our customer and our business.
What we do
Carolyn Anne’s Bridal and Bridesmaid Dresses Boutique sells wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and accessories but we are NOT the actual dressmakers. We have our own international dressmakers and designers who work for us and all of our dresses are made brand new in our dressmakers factory.
How we measure
Due to us not being the dressmakers we do not provide you with a wedding or bridesmaid dress on a "Made to measure" basis but we will have your dress made to your measurements of bust, waist, hips and height at the time of the order to save you high alterations costs but you will still need alterations for perfect fit and we take no responability for any weight changes that occur after we order your dress.
Fittings
When your dress/dresses arrive, you will come for your fitting so you can see your dress for the first time and try it on. This is the time for you to say if you are happy with everything we have provided for you and this is the time to say if you are not. Once you have left our bridal shop, we are no longer responsible for any issues regarding your dress.
Recommended seamtress
We will give you our recommended seamstresses details so you can contact her directly for your alterations. We cannot guarantee that the seamstress will be able to fit you in if you have left it too late to book and you will need to find another if she cant help. Our recommended seamstress is not employed by us and works independently and we are not responsible if you are not happy with any work she has done.
Keeping an open mind when customising
When you are wanting a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress made you will need to keep an open mind as sometimes the dress may seem a bit different to you than expected (For an example) if you have customised a dress you will have not seen it in the flesh beforehand so please understand this, the dress will be made according to your instructions in the best way possible.
If you saw a smaller sample in the shop but then its made in your size and you are a bigger bride it may look different on you to how it looks on a skinny size mannequin so we ask you to understand this and not come back to us saying it looks different to the shop sample which may have not been your size that you saw or tried on.
Refunds
It is industry standard that all sales are final, this includes off the rack dresses or ordering to be made brand new. Any deposit or money paid along with our signed agreement is a binding contract and there are no refunds and no exceptions. Money is due in full for any dress ordered due to securing our dressmaker and buying the fabrics for your dress. Once your money is paid you will have 24 hours to cancel the order for a full refund, but any longer than 24 hours and we will have secured your spot on the dress makers list to have your dress made at the scheduled time and your fabrics have been purchased so claiming a cash refund is not possible for change of mind, cancellations, postponements or not liking a dress once it arrives, NO exceptions.
World events and delaysWorld events like covid and lockdowns...
Unfortunately dresses may be delayed if sudden lockdowns occur, or our couriers are delayed, these matters are out of our hands and we are not responsible or obligated to give you a refund. We will do our very best to make sure you receive your dress on time.
Contract signing...
I the bride/bridesmaid have read all terms and conditions of ordering at Carolyn Anne's Bridal and Bridesmaid Dresses Boutique and i have agreed to the following... I understand that i'm not getting a "Made to Measure" service and that my dress/dresses will need alterations for perfect fit once it arrives. I understand that i am responsible for any weight changes once my dress/dresses are on order and i am responsible for any issues regarding my dress/dresses once removed from the boutique. I Also understand that once my dress has been paid for i'm not entitled to a refund unless i cancel within 24 hours after i have paid.
